Well Hello There....@brookecelebrant.com.au

Hi there! I thought the right thing to do was to introduce myself via this blog. h

and on my heart, to the best of my knowledge the following information is true!

The way that I became a Celebrant involves a combination of a few things...including the right timing, my varied background and experiences as well as surrounding myself with the right people.

I started out working in Perth in Radio, and amongst a few other roles such as Promotions, I was primarily a Producer. I have worked with a huge variety of personalities, sometimes challenging, and have met some amazing people from all walks of life including celebrities, who are after all, just people like you and I and they are all so very different. The main thing that I have taken away from those 11 fabulous years in the industry, is how to deal with a fast paced, stressful environment and remain calm and in control. The people I have met have also helped shape me as a person today. Not surprisingly, my love for music has also led me to playing in a band with some talented fellows and this really fuels my creative fires!

I moved to Brisbane and worked as Executive Producer on Triple M's breakfast show and there in balmy QLD I fell in love and met the man I was to marry - 'Gav'.  We had our first child 'Ayla' and a year later we all moved back to Perth where I got stuck back into things again in my home town.

Having a baby and working as Drive Producer with Mix 94.5 was really quite a challenge, especially as Gav worked away at the time. So with the support of my family and my work family, I made it work and finished up in the ever changing industry that I loved so much when I fell pregnant with our second child.

Coincidentally, Gav proposed the day before I fell pregnant while we were on holiday in New York! So our wedding was planned for a year and a half later... and so the craziness began!
"Ryder" came along and really took things up a notch for our little family and I loved it!
We were married on the beach at Trigg and had some amazing friends and family surrounding us. I am a huge lover of the ocean so it was important for us to have our feet in the sand while taking the first steps to our 'new beginning'.

I had been doing a few Event Planning jobs as they came along and I loved these as I got to use my organisational skills again, but I started looking for a job that would suit being a mum, and accommodate kindy school hours for Ayla as Gav still worked away. As the stars aligned, a job came up working with the very Celebrant that married us - 'Dru Soltys' and he showed me what the Marriage Industry was all about and gave me the best tutelage I could have asked for. It was Dru who suggested that I become a Celebrant and it was an easy decision to make as it just felt like the right next step.

So... after studying and juggling work and life, I have become a Commonwealth Marriage Celebrant and I currently get to marry people every week through The Perth Marriage Office as well as taking on my very own clients and create a special relationship leading up to their big day. I love it! I love making people happy. I love that my life fits so well into this picture and I love that I never thought I would end up here! Fate has always taken my career in the right direction and I've always trusted it. I cannot wait to see who crosses my path next and who allows me to be a part of the amazing moment that is their wedding day!
